Mark Monsees
Mark Monsees' skill for process improvement and system thinking emerged 13 years ago while working as a Card Services Specialist for a Credit Union. He was quickly promoted and charged with building and managing a new department that was responsible for overseeing the key software systems and corresponding vendors critical to the success of the Credit Union. This included the core platform, loan origination systems, internet banking, CRM, IVR/VRU, loan documentation and other systems. During this time, Monsees became proficient in issue resolution, project management, vendor management and contract review/negotiations.
Recently, he served as Manager/Director of Enterprise Projects for a Credit Union. Monsees was responsible for several key projects impacting the entire organization including two mergers, a data center move, multiple branch closings, internet banking conversion, credit card conversion/rollouts, loan origination system conversion and core system upgrades. These projects, in addition to numerous smaller projects, further honed his project management skills.
A recent graduate from Western CUNA Management School, Monsees also holds a Master’s Degree in Business from California State University Fullerton. Over the course of his career, he has served on volunteer boards as a treasurer and has chaired several user community groups in the Credit Union community.
He and his wife, along with their two teenage sons, reside in Southern California. Their free time is often consumed by one son’s baseball games and the other’s musical performances.
